Terms & Conditions
1. Terms & Conditions
1.1 General
By accessing this website or booking services with Bark BoutiQue, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all grooming services provided.
1.2 Dog Health & Welfare
Owners must confirm that their dog is fit and healthy to be groomed. Any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed prior to the appointment.
Grooming may reveal pre-existing conditions such as skin irritations, lumps, parasites, or infections that were not visible before grooming. Bark BoutiQue cannot be held responsible for conditions that arise due to underlying health issues.
1.3 Matting Policy
If a dog’s coat is severely matted, it may be necessary to shave or clip the coat short for the welfare of the dog. Removing heavily matted coats may expose skin irritation, sores, bruising, or parasites that existed prior to grooming.
Additional grooming charges may apply where significant matting is present due to the extra time and care required.
1.4 Behaviour
Owners must inform Bark BoutiQue of any history of aggression or behavioural concerns. If a dog becomes aggressive or poses a safety risk, the groom may be stopped immediately. Owners may still be charged for the portion of the service completed.
1.5 Accidents
Although every care is taken, grooming equipment is sharp and dogs may move unexpectedly. Minor nicks, scratches, or clipper irritation may occasionally occur, particularly with elderly, nervous, or matted dogs.
1.6 Parasites
If fleas or ticks are discovered during grooming, appropriate treatment may be applied to protect other animals in the salon. A sanitation or cleaning fee may be charged.
1.7 Veterinary Care
In the unlikely event of an emergency during grooming, the owner authorises Bark BoutiQue to seek veterinary treatment if necessary. Any veterinary costs will remain the responsibility of the dog’s owner.
1.8 Liability
While every effort is made to ensure the safety and comfort of all dogs, Bark BoutiQue cannot be held liable for issues arising from pre-existing medical conditions, matting, parasites, or behavioural problems not disclosed by the owner.
